Super-Tabler and 41’er Peter ‘Bull’ Brauteseth has died
Larger-than-life South Coaster, Peter ‘Bull’ Brauteseth, passes onto the the famed Round Table ‘hard-core hut’ in the sky. (Old Tablers will be familiar with the the hardcore-hut where much fellowship is held after national conferences.)
Peter was a Tabler and 41’er through and through. Well respected in all spheres of the community Peter never took no for an answer. He was always ready to assist and ready to make a plan. Wherever he went he touched the lives of those around him in a positive way. The gentle giant (in size and stature) as we used to call him.
During his time as President of 41'ers Association of Southern Africa he served the association with distinction and together with Leon Garbade, the then RTSA President forged a really great working relationship between 41 Club and Round Table.
He was an avid family man and always made sure his family came first no matter what. We spoke often about his grandchildren and what a blessing they were to him.
Peter was a great friend and he will be sorely missed by those who had the honor of getting to know him. I was fortunate enough to enjoy a beer with him at his house in Izotsha about two weeks before this fatal day and even then he was as optimistic as ever. Peter, you will be missed, enjoy the vacation you have entered into and until we meet again, keep looking down on us and keeping an eye on what’s happening down here.
To Sandy, Kirtsen and the Brauteseth clan please accept our deepest condolences for your loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
