How are you
By now I am sure you are all settled back into the normal routine and forgotten about the holiday season. But don’t worry before you know it we will be back in December and enjoying a well deserved rest.
Sadly during last year we had to say good bye to one of our dearest 41’ers and Past 41'ER International President Billy Moss:
Albert James Moss (Billy to everyone), Former 41 International President 1986/87 and Former National President 41 South Africa 1982/83 died in hospital after suffering a stroke. He was 77. Billy had an illustrious career in Round Table, which included an eighteen months period as PRO for WOCO. He also participated in countless fund-raising stage productions for many years, and would have the audience in splits with his drag impersonations. At the house parties guests would be entertained by him while playing on the guitar until someone turned off the lights!
May his soul rest in peace
All seems to be well in the Association and I am happy to announce that the YAP Incoming and Outgoing tour dates have been finalised,
but more about that later. The 2nd Exec meeting will be held in Welkom from the 28 February – 02 March 2014, so if there are any of you out there that would like to pop in and have a beer, please do so. If there are any points, suggestions and/or questions that you would like us to discuss at the meeting, then please email them to your Association Secretary email@example.com">firstname.lastname@example.org and he will put them on the agenda.
The OUTGOING YAP TOUR will again be during the June/July holiday break and the dates will be from the 28 June - 17 July 2014. As usual the Belgian and German Associations are sponsoring the cost of the tour for the South Africans (A BIG THANKS TO THEM FOR THAT) and thus it makes it rather affordable to go. The only cost to your kids is the flight ticket, visa and the admin fee that must be paid over to the Belgians on arrival and are broken down as follows:
Admin fee R 600
The above is approximate amounts and could vary. The above also does not include spending money. I do not believe that you can get a 3 week European holiday anywhere in the work for this price. Please DOWNLOAD the application forms and get them off to me as soon as possible at email@example.com">firstname.lastname@example.org To make it even more affordable, our association will be giving the first 5 successful applicants an amount of R2,000 towards their trip, so do not delay! There are 10 seats available for the above tour.
The INCOMING YAP tour will be from the 24 August to the 07 September 2014 this year, so get ready to host. I will send out more info with regards to that tour closer to the time.
This years ASSOCIATION AGM, will be held over the weekend of 5,6,7 September 2014 and it will be at the Port Alfred Holiday Resort. You can visit their website at www.portedward.co.za I will give through more information about accommodation rates and registration costs by the end of February 2014.
Well that seems to be all for now. If you have any news about what is happening in your club please send it through to me so that we can place it on the website. I will be working on the club members contact details on the website so that page will be out of action for a while. Remember that REGALIA can be ordered on line at REGALIA
In closing, don’t forget to spoil that special person in your life on VALENTINE’S DAY!
Remember to have fun, Enjoy life and Embrace the
Friendships you have around you!
Until next month........May the Hinges of Friendship Never Rust.
