41’ers Annual Hunting Trip
A Tradition Born from Passion
The Annual 41’ers Hunting Trip, initiated by our past President, Suren Packery, has become a cornerstone event celebrating our shared love for hunting and the great outdoors. The inaugural event, held in Bloemhof in May 2024, was a resounding success, and we are thrilled to announce that the 2025 Hunting Weekend is set for the first weekend of June in the scenic Hoedspruit area, Limpopo Province.
Stay tuned for updates on the website as we prepare for another unforgettable adventure!
Exploring South Africa’s Hunting Grounds
South Africa’s diverse landscapes offer unique hunting experiences tailored to various ecosystems:
- Highveld: Rolling grasslands perfect for long-range shooting and waterhole stalking.
- Lowveld: Dense bush and grasslands ideal for close-range tracking and hides.
- Karoo: Rugged semi-arid terrain challenging hunters to navigate and track.
- Fynbos: Rich biodiversity amidst dense shrubs requires patience and stealth.
- Savanna: Open spaces with scattered trees offer excellent visibility and ambush opportunities.
Each region provides a distinct adventure, adding depth to your hunting story.
Commitment to Sustainable Hunting
At the heart of our Hunting Trip is a dedication to preserving South Africa’s natural resources. We collaborate with farms and conservation estates that emphasize ethical hunting practices and wildlife preservation. By prioritizing sustainability, we ensure our traditions remain a respectful celebration of nature.

Camaraderie and Sportsmanship
The Annual Hunting Weekend is more than the hunt—it’s about forging connections. From shared meals to campfire stories, the bonds formed during this event strengthen our community. We foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging respect, fair play, and knowledge sharing among participants.
The African Hunting Experience
“As the sun set over the African horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple, the true essence of our journey came alive. The day’s hunt brought exhilaration, but it was the campfire camaraderie that defined our adventure.
Morning crispness carried the sounds of awakening wildlife as our guides led us through rugged terrain. The sight of a kudu, majestic against the acacia trees, quickened our hearts. With respect and precision, we worked as a team, embodying the spirit of the hunt.
By night, laughter echoed around the fire. Stories of the day mingled with the scent of grilled game meat, as we toasted to the friendships forged in this untamed beauty. Under a starlit sky, we reflected on the meaning of the hunt—not just the thrill, but the enduring memories and connections that make it truly unforgettable.
This is more than hunting; it’s a celebration of life, nature, and the fellowship that thrives in the wild.”
